The yak, also called "yak", is a large species of ruminant from the Himalayas. He leads a healthy life in the mountains of Tibet. It breathes unpolluted air, drinks from mountain streams and spends its days feasting on fresh grass and wildflowers.

At first taste, the cheese is disarmingly soft, with a clean, delicate milky flavor, totally different from cheeses made from sheep's, cow's, goat's or mare's milk.

When your dog has finished chewing his yak stick, we suggest removing the rest before it reaches a size he could potentially swallow. The benefit of this chewing activity is that you can turn the remaining piece into a crunchy treat. Put the remaining piece of Yak cheese in the microwave for 60 to 90 seconds which will change its texture and make it easily edible after cooling (no waste).
